If you’re looking for a flavorful, nourishing chai latte recipe, you’re in the right place.
About the Recipe
This delightful chai latte recipe features MUD\WTR as the base – a coffee alternative highlighted in my 5 coffee alternatives to wake up list. If you don’t have access to MUD, I recommend finding a trusted masala chai mix.
Why Choose MUD\WTR?
- MUD\WTR is packed with adaptogens like lion’s mane, chaga, and reishi mushrooms, which enhance mental and physical performance (without any strong taste!).
- It’s incredibly easy to brew; simply add hot water or your milk/nut milk of choice.
- No sugar, added sweeteners, or flavors are included—you can sweeten it according to your preference.

A memorable moment from India inspires this recipe. A saddhu (ascetic) invited me to his home constructed of cow dung and served me a heavenly cup of buffalo milk chai. This recipe evokes that unforgettable experience!
Ingredients for 1 Serving of Chai Latte:
- 1 – 1.5 Tablespoon MUD\WTR – adjust to your desired strength
- 1/3 cup fresh boiled water
- 1 cup steamed oat milk or milk of your choice
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, chopped or shaved
- 1-2 teaspoons monk fruit or coconut sugar
Directions:
- In a cup, combine 1-1.5 tablespoons of MUD\WTR with your preferred sweetener (if using).
- Add 1/3 cup of fresh boiled water and stir until the powder dissolves completely.
- Steam 1 cup of milk (oat milk is my favorite) and pour it over the MUD\WTR mixture.
- Top with fresh ginger and enjoy!
- Set an intention and savor every sip!
